About me

My name is Viktoriya.

I was born in Kiev. My native languages are Russian and Ukrainian. Having near native level of French, I am also fluent in English and in Italian.

I graduated from the Romano-Germanic Philology Faculty of National Taras Shevchenko University (Kiev, Ukraine) majoring in Philology, teacher of French, English and Italian languages, translator. I have also a PhD in linguistics and since 2010 I am a certified DELF/DALF and TEF examiner/corrector.

For more than 25 years I have been using French and English in my professional activities and everyday communication. I have around 15 years experience in teaching (tutoring) and translation. I taught at National Taras Shevchenko University in Kiev and the French Institute in Ukraine. I also worked as a translator in international companies, including 8 years at the Belgian Embassy in Ukraine.

My main professional qualities include strong communication skills, creativity, punctuality, passion for work.  The success of my students in language learning and customer satisfaction with the translation quality always make me happy. Up until now I stay in touch with my former students.

I have been teaching French at the Language Centre of Maastricht University and I am a certified sworn translator Russian/Ukrainian/French.
